"Beloveds we wake up in the morning to darkness and watch it turn into lightness with hope."

Every morning, all of us, all of us who are living and who have life within our chest, rise to a darkened stage. We rise to a darkened stage, covered with the dust and dirt of the earth. We rise to a stage that was once filled with the voices of children, but now those voices, which were once so cheerful, are silenced by disease and war. We rise to a stage that was once a home, but now those who once found shelter amongst its wooden boards and beneath its illumination find a home amongst the rats in the gutters and the darkened alleys. We rise to unjustified wars. We rise to economic crisis. We rise to an endangered environment.

We rise.

Despite this hatred. This angst. This depression.

We rise.

One by one, we rise with hope. We rise with faith. We rise with love.

And as we rise we each spark a light. A light that yearns and beams in hope of bringing restoration and beauty back to that darkened stage. A light that years and beams to save the children. To bring peace to torn nations. To feed the hungry. To clothe the naked. To quench a thirst of those with open mouths and empty bellies.

To fill this connection of everyone with lungs.
